You’ll land at Keflavík Airport, located amongst the moss-covered lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Here, you’ll hop on a bus that will take you to Reykjavík where you’ll spend your first night in Iceland.
Highlights:
In the morning, your guide will meet you at a designated location and take you on a whirlwind 3-day tour of Iceland’s wild countryside. You’ll start by exploring the Golden Circle, a scenic region East of Reykjavík. You will then spend the night at lovely countryside accommodation in the area.
Highlights:
This exciting day is filled with waterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to Iceland’s South Coast. You will not only be sightseeing today but also taking part in a thrilling glacier hike, accompanied by a professional glacier guide. You’ll then spend the night at accommodations on the South Coast.
Highlights:
Begin the day by exploring the sheer beauty of the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon with a boat tour. Close by is Diamond Beach, where smaller icebergs have washed up on shore and lie on the black sand, glistening in the sunlight. Your guide will then take you back to Reykjavík, stopping at the beautiful Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach on the way.
Highlights:
After a night in the vibrant city of Reykjavík, it is time to head back into the countryside. This time, you’ll explore the historic West Iceland. Your guide will pick you up in or near your accommodation and whisk you into the green, pastoral region of Borgarfjörður, where you’ll explore waterfalls, hot springs, and historical places. You’ll then spend the night in the region.
Highlights:
After breakfast, you will explore the magical Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This region’s most noticeable feature, Snæfellsjökull Glacier, will be visible throughout your journey. Many believe it emits mystical energy; see if you can feel it. You’ll explore beaches, waterfalls, and a lava cave before the guide drops you off back in Reykjavik in the evening.
Highlights:
Now, it is time to bid farewell to the land of ice and fire. Happy, satisfied, and with luggage filled with photos and memories, you’ll board a bus that will take you across the Reykjanes Peninsula to Keflavík Airport in time for your flight. If your flight leaves late, you can explore Reykjavik a little before or, perhaps, visit the Blue Lagoon.
