Overview

Imagine yourself riding across the beautiful Icelandic landscape, surrounded by nothing but sky and horses. That’s what you get when you book a private horse riding tour in Iceland! The horse farm is located between Reykjavík and Þingvellir National Park, making it a perfect excursion for those visiting the Golden Circle.

On this tour, you’ll meet your own private guide on a horse farm a few minutes’ drive from downtown Reykjavík. The guide will check your experience level and show you the basics of horse riding if you are a new rider. They will also tell you about Icelandic horses and what makes them unique.

Icelandic horses are both gentle and intelligent. Making them great companions for both new and experienced riders. They are also much smaller than horses in Europe and North America. Though they are pony-sized, they are classified as horses as they are strong and have extraordinary weight-carrying abilities.

Once in the saddle, the guide will show you around the verdant farmlands where the horses graze in the summer. Since there will be no other guests on this tour, you can tailor the time as you see fit, for up to two hours. Thus, making the tour longer or shorter depending on your comfort level with the horses.

If you are an experienced rider and want to ride around the area without a guide, you can. Simply let the guide know beforehand. They will then tell you where the most beautiful places to ride in the vicinity are before allowing you to explore on your own.

Experience the beauty of Iceland from the back of a horse! Enjoy a guided ride through the countryside with your personal guide. Learn about Icelandic horses and get to know the culture of this beautiful island. Book now to secure your spot on this fantastic tour.
