Types of Personalized Tours

Traveo offers various types of personalized vacations to suit every traveler’s preferences.

Our options include self-drive tours, giving you the freedom to explore Iceland’s stunning landscapes at your own pace.

For those who enjoy a more social experience, our small group tours offer the perfect balance of personalized service and shared adventures.

Whichever option you choose, our professional destination specialist will create a customized itinerary to ensure your vacation is everything you’ve dreamed of and more.

Popular Destinations for Custom Tours in Iceland

For first-time visitors to Iceland, exploring the Golden Circle is a must! It offers a fascinating glimpse into the natural forces that have shaped this extraordinary beautiful island. At Þingvellir National Park, you’ll witness the meeting of tectonic plates and vast lava fields. Geysir Geothermal Area showcases erupting geysers and bubbling hot springs, while Gullfoss waterfall stuns with its sheer power.

Short on time or seeking a relaxed getaway? Consider the South Coast, where majestic waterfalls, towering glaciers, and stunning black sand beaches await. Alternatively, West Iceland boasts a rich Viking history and diverse natural wonders, including the famous Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

For those with more time, a circle tour offers an immersive journey across Iceland. From the Golden Circle to the remote East and vibrant North, you’ll discover the country’s diverse landscapes and charming towns. And for seasoned travelers or those seeking adventure, off-the-beaten-track destinations like the wild Westfjords or the rugged Highlands await exploration.

Tips for a Memorable Personalized Experience

Keep an open mind and trust your advisor; they bring decades of experience and a deep knowledge of Iceland. They’re here to guide you every step of the way.

The more information you provide, the better we can assist you. Simple details like who’s joining you are helpful; for example, we’ll need to know if we should arrange a car seat for a little one or avoid planning a glacier hike for Grandma with a bad hip. Also, how many rooms will you need, and what are your preferred travel dates (they don’t have to be exact)?

Knowing your budget is essential. Iceland can be pricey, and your destination specialist needs to understand if you’ve budgeted for a weekend getaway or a two-week adventure. Remember, our advisors aren’t here to drain your wallet; they’re here to ensure you make the most of your budget.

Why Us?

At Traveo, we understand that you are not just another customer, but a unique individual with specific tastes and ambitions. As an agency, we distinguish ourselves by catering to personal criteria, guaranteeing that each of our travellers experiences Iceland in their own way, and at their own pace.

With easy on-site tour comparison and flexible payment options, booking a tour in Iceland has never been more straightforward. Once your tour with us is confirmed, we will provide you with a personalised itinerary that lays out each step of your vacation—with room for exploration, of course. 24/7 customer service is available to those with queries, both before and during your trip.

Here at Traveo, we believe that your time on holiday in Iceland is valuable. Thankfully, all the exciting tours and excursions listed on our site are handpicked by local Iceland experts, ensuring one’s time here is maximised with only the very best experiences.

 Verified Awesome experience with Traveo
Jonathan was truly amazing, detailed, and attentive from the beginning to the end. And we had several changes we had to make throughout the planning, which he helped us seamlessly navigate these changes. I would 100% go with this company again when I return to Iceland!

 Verified Icelandic wonders
My grandson and I had a fantastic time. Jonathan paced our self-drive tour beautifully so each day had us experiencing so many wonderful sites without exhausting us. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time!

 Verified Excellent Iceland Travel Planning.
Traveo helped us plan a wonderful Iceland adventure. We specified the type of activities and places we wanted to see and they (Jonathan) put it all together for us including arranging our car rental and booking several of our excursions. The price cost less than if I had put it all together myself and it was so much less stress for me. I highly recommend using them to help with Iceland vacation planning!

Verified April in Iceland - beautiful and fun (but you will get wet).
We used the Rough Guide referral service to find Traveo and Jonathan Guisset, who arranged a trip that perfectly matched for our interests. Communication was excellent, trip resources were readily accessible and informative, and Jonathan stayed in touch during our journey (which included a day of Orange warning). Hotels were comfortable, food options were good, and the activities (glacier hike, ice cave, self-guided waterfall hikes, and jeep tour that got cancelled) were well organized. The cost was quite reasonable (and included the rental car). I would highly recommend his service.

 Verified Highly recommend!!
This is the 3rd time we have used Jonathan Guisset for our travels to Iceland. In addition, based on our recommendations, at least 3 other friends have used him to help plan their trip. This time was also WONDERFUL--he planned around our specific requests for the most perfect 5 day trip packed with everything we wanted!!!

Verified A terrific winter trip to Iceland, planned and executed by Traveo
Just returned from a fabulous winter trip to Iceland, planned and executed by Jonathan at Traveo. From the pre-trip advice and planning to the actual trip execution, Traveo was terrific: knowledgeable, helpful, responsive, transparent, honest. When we encountered a small mid-trip challenge due to weather conditions, we experienced the value of having an in-country resource who very quickly pivoted to new arrangements which turned out to be just as good or better than the original plan. I can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed working with Traveo on this wonderful trip.

Verified A truly unforgettable Iceland experience — thanks to Jonathan & Traveo!
I just returned from a 6-day Iceland trip planned entirely by Jonathan from Traveo, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. From hotel bookings to daily excursions, every detail was meticulously organized. The itinerary was intense — back-to-back experiences, early starts, long drives and weather surprises — but it turned into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. I’m so grateful that I got to explore so much of Iceland in such a short time, including both the Golden Circle (South) and the Silver Circle (West), each spectacular in its own way. I came back exhausted in the best possible way — tired legs, full heart, and memories I’ll treasure forever. Everything was seamless, stress-free, and exceptionally curated. If you’re considering Iceland, go with Jonathan & the Traveo team. They don’t just plan trips — they create magic.

 Verified Iceland Magic Made Easy
We are two adventurous ladies who took our first-ever trip to Iceland at the end of November 2025 with Jonathan’s help, and the experience was unforgettable. From the very beginning, Jonathan was easy to talk to and arranged a Zoom call to really understand what we wanted from our trip. After that, everything came together seamlessly—our itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and the hotels and tours he recommended were fantastic. Having a local contact was a must for us, and Jonathan totally delivered. We had an incredible time exploring Iceland and left with so many fun, heartfelt memories. Highly recommend!

 Verified Absolutely outstanding experience
I went on a 5-day father-son trip, organised by Jonathan. The whole experience was nothing but outstanding> Iceland is a breathtakingly beautiful country and the itinerary Jonathan had put together allowed us to enjoy a big portion of it. During the planning phase Jonathan was very responsive, clearly knowledgeable and always offered options. Whilst in Iceland he checked in multiple times to see how things were going, just to make sure we were having a good time. If you consider going to Iceland and keen to a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I highly recommend Traveo / Jonathan to help you achieving just that.
