Ellen got her friend, model and television personality, Chrissy Teigen, to come on the show to help her spread cheer to the 150 people in the audience.
After revealing that the audience members would receive a Calphalon espresso machine, Xbox One X console and one-year gaming subscription, and a 75-inch TCL Roku 4K TV, Ellen joked that they now had something for every room in the house but asked if it wouldn’t be great to leave the house on a “crazy vacation”.
The audience members screamed in excitement and cheered as Ellen announced that each of them had received a ticket for two to Iceland with Icelandair, a five-day stay at the Icelandair hotels, and a trip to the luxurious Blue Lagoon Spa.
According to Daniel Oddsson, project manager at Promote Iceland, the idea came from DeGeneres’ producers. They contacted Icelandair who got in touch with Promote Iceland to help organise this generous gift.

Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways on NBC, are three one-hour holiday specials which see DeGeneres and her celebrity friends give people and in-studio audience members fantastic gifts.
Earlier in the episode, viewers saw actors Melissa McCarthy and Robert Downey Jr. deliver life-changing gifts to three families which included trips to Aspen and Hawaii, meeting Taylor Swift, a brand new SUV, $300,000 mortgage payment on a home, and a whole house.
The first holiday special premiered on Tuesday with actors Jennifer Aniston and Sterling K. Brown, and former first lady of the USA, Michelle Obama helping with the gift-giving. The third and final episode will air on Thursday and feature singer Justin Timberlake.
